Homogenization of large deforming fluid-saturated porous structures

The two-scale computational homogenization method is proposed for modelling of locally periodic fluid-saturated media subjected a to large deformation induced by quasistatic loading. heterogeneities are relevant the mesoscopic scale at which double porous medium constituted hyperelastic skeleton and an incompressible viscous fluid featured contrasts in permeability. Within Eulerian framework related current deformed configuration, approach applied linearized model discretized time, being associated with incremental formulation. For this, equilibrium equation mass conservation expressed spatial configuration differentiated using material derivative respect convection velocity field. procedure equations provides effective (homogenized) properties computed constitute macroscopic problem. coupled algorithm multiscale problem implemented finite element method. Illustrative 2D numerical simulations poroelastic presented including simple validation test.
